November 06th, 2017, Monday – Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston Celtics

After the individual weekend in our host families, we arrived at the Walker School at 7:30.  In Mr. Morgan’s class we had breakfast from Chick-fil-a.   The chicken biscuit was different to our food in Germany but it was very delicious. Afterwards some American students gave us a tour through the school. We spent the next class  with Mr. Petersen. In his art class we tried to paint realistic leaves just with watercolors. He showed us a video of an artist known for his work for Disney who explained us step by step how to draw the leaves. Later we had our break where we ate lunch in the school cafeteria. In the cafeteria there were different types of food like a salad and sandwich bar and pizza.  After lunch our exchange students took us to their different classes . We spent the last class with Mrs. Walker and learned about American music history.

In the evening we went as a big American German group to the NBA game of Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston Celtics at 7:30pm. We all had a good overview over the game. The whole game was very exciting because the score of the two teams was almost the same. But at the end the Boston Celtics won. The best player in the game of Atlanta Hawks was Dennis Schroeder and the best player in the Boston Celtics team was Kyrie Irving. The whole day was very exciting because we saw the school for the first time and the game in the evening was a good start to a wonderful exchange.
